Feasibility Study & Preliminary Design – Arusha to Musoma, Tanzania railway
The overall objective of the project is to promote sustainable mobility along the Tanga – Arusha – Musoma corridor, thus connecting the northern part of Tanzania to the ports infrastructure of Dar es Salaam. Therefore, the construction of a new railway line from Arusha to Musoma is part of the countries strategy of providing sustainable mobility and also connecting the neighbouring landlocked countries.

Project Activities
The specific objectives of the consultancy services are to implement development of railways infrastructure along Tanzania Northern Corridor which involves «Feasibility study and preliminary design for Construction of the proposed new railway line from Arusha to Musoma to American Railway Engineering and Maintenance of ways Association (AREMA) Standards».
The project also includes detailed Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and Mitigation plan.
