Dorsch Global’s Chairman Olaf Hoffmann contributes to strengthening economic relations between Germany and the Arab world at the 28th Arab-German Business Forum in Berlin.

From 19 to 21 May 2025, the 28th Arab-German Business Forum brought together senior representatives from politics and business in Berlin to promote dialogue and economic cooperation between Germany and the Arab world. Olaf Hoffmann, Chairman of Dorsch Global and President of the Ghorfa Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, played an active role in the forum, emphasising the importance of long-term partnerships, particularly with Egypt.

“After a decade of economic reforms and infrastructure investments, Egypt is offering an excellent business environment for foreign direct investments,” said Hoffmann. “A vision was articulated by a panelist yesterday: in 2040, Egypt can become, economically, a part of Europe.”

The forum underscored Egypt’s growing role as a regional investment hub. H.E. Hassan El Khatib, Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, emphasised the country’s openness to international collaboration.

H.E. Katharina Reiche, Germany’s newly appointed Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, affirmed the strategic importance of Arab-German relations, announcing plans for an Egyptian-German business forum to be held by the end of 2025. By attending to the Ghorfa Forum just some days after taking over the ministry, Federal Minister Reiche is underlining the importance of the Ghorfa forum. Dr. Volker Treier, Deputy CEO of DIHK (German Chamber of Industry and Commerce), added: “We are facing a new start of Arab German business relations. We should expect EU conferences and Agreements to come.”

Dorsch Global’s attendance at the forum reflects its long-standing dedication to promoting sustainable development and infrastructure partnerships throughout the MENA region.
