The Berliner Firmenlauf is one of the largest corporate running events in Germany. This year, around 20,000 participants from 1,020 companies took to the streets, with every available start place sold out well in advance. Our GRE team from Berlin joined them on the course on 20 May 2026.
The 4.8-kilometre route begins at the Brandenburg Gate, runs along Behrenstraße and Wilhelmstraße southward past the Tiergarten, continues to the Landwehrkanal and through the Großer Tiergarten to the Victory Column, before returning along Straße des 17. Juni. For one evening, one of Berlin's most iconic boulevards becomes a running track. The event welcomes participants running, walking, skating, or using wheelchairs or unicycles, making it one of the most inclusive sporting events in the German capital.
Competing under the team name "GRE Track Titans", four teams with a total of 12 runners took part. The average individual time across all participants was 27:03 minutes over 4.8 kilometres.
For GRE German Rail Engineering, the event was also an opportunity to bring the Berlin team together outside the day-to-day rhythm of projects and meetings. Those who spend their working hours planning railway infrastructure and traffic facilities know that good work is built on good teams. We look forward to 2027.
